The Brookville Area School District Board of Directors seeks a dynamic individual with integrity, visionary leadership, and outstanding management ability to lead the district, effective July 1, 2019. The district has approximately 1,500 students with a $26.2 million budget. The candidate must possess: excellent communication skills, experience in achieving high academic performance, experience in creating academic equity, and sound school finance and business management. Experience with curriculum development and implementation, knowledge of educational and innovative technology best practices, and school construction is required.  In addition, success with facilitating community engagement activities is highly desirable.

Prior central office experiences as superintendent or assistant superintendent desired with PA superintendent letter of eligibility required at time of employment.  Doctorate desirable.

When applying for the Superintendent’s position, please include the following: 

  1. Completed Brookville Superintendent Application
  2. A copy of your PA Letter of Eligibility
  3. All Other Professional Credentials
  4. Graduate College Transcripts
  5. Three (3) Letters of Support – must be no more than one (1) year old
  6. Resume
  7. All Clearances (as listed below) should not be submitted at this time.  We will request hard copies of these documents at a later date in this process.

  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • FBI Federal Crime History Record (Fingerprint)
