Once again this year, history teacher Jena Bish teamed up with the Jefferson County History Center for the Sixth Grade Artifact Project. Students chose an artifact and told its story. A panel of judges from the history center reviewed the projects and selected a series of finalists who then prepared a presentation. Winners received certificates and gift cards and had their work displayed at an open house at the history center. Winners in the family and personal history category were, from left, Jenna Fiscus (second place), Baelyn Stewart (first place), History Center President Larry Anthony, and Otto Stein (third place). Thanks to Mrs. Bish, Mr. Anthony, everyone at the history center, and all the family members who helped with these local history projects.
